At the beginning, everything was new and amazing. The founding team, consisting of three people, was thirsty for challenges. The first challenge, however, was that a monthly salary was no longer a thing. The little money we were able to scrape together was obviously paid to others. The year was 2001, and computers had just survived the millennium. We started our operations with controlling and CFO services. It was not the digitisation of financial administration, for which we originally founded the company.
The group expands and grows
We have been like small, eager monkeys swinging on branches; gathering enough speed and always reaching for the next one. This attitude has made our business flourish. The group kept expanding and growing. By 2015, we had built a national accounting chain, launched our funding operations, and taken part in selecting the best financial manager in Finland annually with Talouselämä and Accenture. There have been many ups and downs. Without hard work and relentless effort, neither the individual nor the company will ever develop.
Divest Group today
At the end of 2015, the company was substantially reorganised. The company was divided into Divest Group and Rainmaker. Today, the accounting operations of Talousverkko and the funding operations of Guida form the core of Divest. However, a tiger cannot change its stripes, and there will always be new business operations created in the group.
One of our idols whom we quote on a regular basis is Jack Welch, and we have been fortunate enough to meet him face to face. The group lives and breathes its vital themes, some copied from Jack Welch: entrepreneurial spirit, appreciating each other, joint effort, and goal-oriented mindset. Shared values create a purposeful, goal-driven and service-oriented foundation which serves as a good basis for building the future.
In the future, we will break the revenue boundary of EUR 30 million and become an international group of companies. We work and will continue to work to make our Vision a reality: all new customers will come from recommendations in 2018.
